View Full Version : DIF4U creates more than 5700 subs in MIB 2. Is it normal ?

Hi,

Sorry for maybe an odd question here.
I'm backuping MIB2 R2 and chose to keep 5 subtitles streams.
After applying DIF4U, it appears that there are more then 11500 subs bitmaps for each subtitle stream, which makes it a total of almost 58000 subs bmps...
I noticed that there are around 5700 "normal" subs and also 5700 "forced subs" extracted for each language. OK, forced subs are probably for alien talk in the movie, but it seems to me the number is really too high.

Scenarist has been running for 4 hours now trying to import the subs and there is still one stream to go (i.e 11500 subs to process). I've never seen this before !

Is there any mistake solmewhere here ? Can anybody who already backuped MIB2 share his experience on this ? Particularly the amount of forced subs being equal to "regular" subs seems weird to me...

Any information appreciated on this "first time seen" situation.

God I hate subs in MIB movies. The first movie had a visual director's commentary which was made up of 60,000 subpictures. Scenarist just couldn't handle it so I had to leave em out :(

Looks like MIIB has optional "Telestrator Diagrams" with the director's commentary, which I imagine are lots of subpictures as well. So yes, it is "normal" to have this many subs, but you might find that poor old Scenarist gets all confused and obstinately sits there in the corner appearing to do nothing.

Good luck!

As you said Aqua, poor scenarist got lost somewhere in outter space trying to import this insane amount of teletstrator stupid stuff..

Aarrgh, I finally had to use...DVD2one on this movie...No time today to go through the whole process again (can you imagine Scenarist had been immorting subs for 7.5 hours and then...crashed

Well, things happen...I'll be aware for MIB 3 :D
