Technical details of subs in OGM

I have muxed SSA into OGM. What are the technical reasons for it not working with DVobSub?

How and with what prog did you mux it?

ogm only supports simple texts with time intervals, and ssa has an important "header section" too.

I muxed it to AVI with AVIMux, and then directly muxed it to OGM with Graphedit by just connecting all output pins of the AVI parser into the Ogg Muxer. DirectVobSub recognizes the stream as subs, but won't display them.

The subtitle stream in avi is tweaked a bit for ssa, it can't be muxed into ogm that way.

Maybe SubMux... I had done this some time ago and worked.
