Blank screen or paused menu

Not sure if this is in the right place but here we go anyway.

I have written a large number of discs over a while now but this problem keeps appearing.

When I place the dics it works fine, but when I got to play the main movie all I get is a blank screen or the menu paused, the counter shows the title has started playing and I can skip chapters but no sound or video is present.

I have tried the above with both just movie and full disc with menu and extras, lately this has happened with Spy Game R2.

Any ideas anyone?

what programs are you using and what versions of those programs?

I am totally positive it's not the way that I'm doing the copy as I know of a few other who have had the same thing.

One thing I used have added was the fact that these discs have played without fault everytime in a couple of standalone DVD players.

I may be going the wrong way with this but, could this have anything do do with macro code?

Has anyone else done a full rip of Starget, Spy Game, The Martins to name a few where it has worked on a number of DVD players without any hack required?
