Hello everyone,

I need someone who is experienced in Scenarist and multiangle. My problem is to re-create exactly the same structure as original. Some Titlesets in original compilation have angles.

Is there possibility to use some dummy files (e.g. Trilights´s still frame) for this task or the only way is to use some kind of video stream?? When I use still image angle button is greyed :( .

Thanx in advance.

Really I´m the only one trying to recreate multiangle titleset with dummy files?? Is there some easier way to do it??

Thanx for any help ;).

What do you want to do? Create excactly the same structure but loose one angle?

If so just add the same angle twice (the same piece of video to both angles)

Hi influenza,

all I want to do is to create some dummy titleset with one PGC and 3 angles. I share Trilight´s opinion on striping things from DVDs :). As I tried it in Scenarist with still frames angle button in grayed :(.

And another question - do you use "adjuted cell mode" in IfoUpdate?? It doesn´t work for me and I´m not able to figure out why. New IFOs have all they should have but navigation failed in my standalone :(.

oh, ok. i never tried that before, so I don't know if you can't use a still, but probably you can't if the button is grayed out.

i use the adjusted cell mode occasionally on extras that need to be extracted by vobid when I'm lazy. SO far I had no problems with it.

@influenza

Do you use Maestro or Scenarist. If Scenarist, where do you paste chapter part from IfoUpdate?? I guess somewhere into script but where exactly???

Thanx a lot :).

I use scenarist.

I use scenchap to import my exported scenarist script/. In scenchap you paste the chapter points and create a new script which you can import into scenarist.

The only reason why u can't use a stil as a 2nd angle placeholder is because for the feature to work, u need 2 video with exactly the same GOP structure (frames and IPB distribution). Clearly a still hasn't these features and so the option is greyd out.

if I understand correctly, he wants to replace the entire vobset and use 2 stills creating a dummy vts set?

@influenza

You are right. That is exactly what I want.

@oddyseus

I followed your guide you sent me for adjusted cell mode but it doesn´t work. When I tried it in PowerDVD, everything seems to be OK, but when I want to jump forward during playback it jumps into root menu :(. And my standalone refuse to play it at all :confused:.

What if you use the original video and reencode it at an ultra low bitrate?

Or cut out 50 frames or so, so you have an ultra short clip of video, which you use for both angles?

Yes, I can do this. But better solution would be to "reencode still frame" or create new mpeg 2-3 long stream stating something like "this part have been removed". Is there some easy way how to do it??

maybe with adobe premiere or something?

I think I would go the simple way and disable the menu button :sly:

I´m not sure about this simple way. You never know if there is not some "small" command pointing to this part after playing some other part :(. I guess that making new mpeg stream will be more elegant way - but more difficult :(.

It's for sure more elegant that's true.

The most elegant way is to recreate the exact structure of the asset removed. If it is a multi-pgc asset put as many stills as pgcs in the original asset and define them as pgcs. U know the drill. This way u can be certain that what ever post commands r in each pgc would execute correctly.

Yes, I know the drill :). That is my point. But I can´t use stills for multiangle assets :(. So I have to create dummy mpeg stream (or something) instead of stills...
