View Full Version : What to do with my DoCCE4U files...?

Please cut me some slack. I have tried to research this myself, here and at dvdrhelp but I am getting frustrated. I'm not asking anyone to "do it all for me". I'm ready and willing to sit down with one or more guides and teach myself but need a pointer down the right path.

I have recently evolved from the "one-click" forum, across to here in search of better results. I am now using DVD2DVD-R for my main-movie-only, CCE backups. Before discovering DVD2DVD-R , I had used the "DIF4U & DoCCE4U & IfoEdit" combo 4-5 times to make some main-movie only backups with no problems.

I'm told the main reason for using the DIF4U/DoCCE4U combo is to get a "full" backup of the whole DVD while getting the benifit of using CCE for the encoding.

I have processed my full test DVD (Driven, PAL, R4) thru DIF4U and then thru DoCCE4U and I now have the resulting video and audio files. I realise that the next step is to author these to make a DVD that I can watch/burn.

When I used the Do4U combo to make my 4-5 main-movie backups, I just used the DVD Author section of IfoEdit, fed it my single encoded video file, the audio tracks and Celltime.txt file and away we went.

But now, with my Driven full backup, I have more than one encoded video files, each with it's own related audios. What is the best program to author these files into a "DVD" format I can watch/burn. Assuming the answer to this will be Scenarist, then also an alternative to Scenarist, something a tad easier to learn from scratch.

I'm guessing maybe the ideal answer is the ReAuthorist program I have been reading about(sounds really good). How can I get a copy of the pre-release version to try it out ? Seems like many many people are already using it.

Thanks...

What is the best program to author these (DoCCE4U) files into a "DVD" format I can watch/burn.
I now realise my original post was far too long and not to the point.

I apologise for wasting anyones time. All I wanted was a point in the right direction. (a good guide for the Do4U process..?)

What program do YOU use to authour your DoCCE4U processed files ?

Yeah Scenarist but it is not that easy to learn 8not to say to buy it). I prefer Maestro... most of the times it works the same (at least for me) and it's faaaar easier to use :D
