In the quest to understand all Vid/Cap/Burn related topics.
Generally, what does it do?
I do realize that ASPI affects how cdroms and operating systems talk to each other.
I mainly ask because i use DVD2SVCD (which is the best thing since the wheel). The site says that DVD2SVCD needs ASPI. I have installed D2S with, and without ASPI, and it works regardless.
With ASPI for W2k installed, when i use D2S, my monitor wont take a nap until i reapply the settings. Even after D2S has sucessfully done its job and is closed.
Also, is there any way to remove it?
