Hi all.
I know my answer to this post would be Use the search!
Anyways I have tried but could not find the answer to my prob.

I use dvd2svcd to convert xvid to svcd. I use the cinema craft encoder.

I think the problem is errors in the avi file
When playing in any player the avis are ok. When open in virtual dub the vdubmod it say inpropper cbs value ore something and will make new headers. this will make skew! when scanning the stream for errors i get some frams bad some are ok but not encodable.

When using theese files in avi2svcd most of them wont excract the auido some will but crashes later ore bbmpeg finds a error.

So my qustions is how to fix the avi files without messing with the audio.
Also sometimes the avi2svcd is complete but the final result is bad.
Suddenly the picture freeze a moument and no audio after that!.

I'm not very in to this but would appriciate some hints:)

When scanning stream for error in vdub i get the choise of masking bad frames ore delete them. What is the best and what does masking mean?

Anyhow any help will be very much appriciated

Best regards
Kjetil

Yes, Rule #1 is your first problem. Then #4 (profanity) and then #6 (dl'd movies). And yet, with a small MODification you would have been able to avoid this completely.

VirtualDubMod...

Open the file, extract the audio and process it separately from the video. I've never done SVCD so I don't know how to do it. And the #4 warning was about the f-word (which now has been removed, thank you), not because you insulted anyone.
