Double Side DVD - R with printable services.

I have always wonder with a Double side DVD R, how do you know which side has what on it?? Since both side are used to burn. I am thinking would it be possible to have some printable area at the center of the disk. May be taking some of the innner circle of the DVD to provide a manageable and printable area for both side of DVD.

Although taking some inner circle of the DVD as printable area may make the DVD R have less space. But since the innner circle doesn't take up as much surface area as the outside, and you have a double side DVD R i think we can make up for that.

Is that possible??

The way I label my double-sided DVD-R's is with Hub Labels. They sit at the inner ring (the non-recording area, usually clear), and don't interfere or affect the playing.
