I have a Cendyne 2x/4x DVD-RW drive. It detects in Win2k as a Pioneer DVR-105. Nero detects it as a DVR-105 too. Nero also says it supports "CD text". Does that mean it can burn text on the top of the CD? If so, how do you do that? It not, what does CD text mean in Nero?

Thanks,

Kelly

sorry i do not know what exactly CD-Text means (in this connection at least)... perhaps it is some kind of DVD-labeling that your standalone can read and display like "XXX-Tripple X (DVD)"... or a bug in Nero (?!?)

anyway it is for sure not the ability to 'burn' text onto the top of the DVD, neither at the bottom. only very few cd burners support it and i've never heard of nero or any DVD burner supporting it.

cheers

cd-text is an extension to the audio cd format. With it you can add some textual info for the tracks (like id tags), but there are only a few players which can display it.
