i'm a newbie and i have some newbie questions...

in doom9's "DVD-9 -> 1 DVD±R using Scenarist," it says to force an I frame in CCE before encoding by setting up the chapter list file obtained from IfoUpdate.

i was wondering if this could be done after encoding w/ CCE because for some reason CCE freezes up in the middle of encoding whenever i try to set up the chapter list files.

another thing i wanted to ask was about the final files created by CCE. what does CCE produce and which are the files that i should import into scenarist? the guide says "drag and drop your video file(s)" but is that just the .m2v and .mpv per PGC?

if you have any additional info that you think might help me understand all of this better pleeeeease feel free to share.

You must set the chapterlist in cce. This puts your I-Frames in so the chapter points match up to the original video. Otherwise, the video will track to the next closest I-Frame and your results may not be what you expected.

Well, I am an NTSC user, so in my case the files I would import into scenarist would be the *.m2v files. If you are a PAL user, this may be different. But yes, you are on the right track.

i'm still confused...

what are the .mpv files for? and what's the difference between the files i drop into the data editor in scenarist and the track editor in scenarist?

as i said earlier, pleeeeeeease feel free to elaborate because i'm a complete idiot and i could use the extra info
