mplayer project leader leaves.

somewhat old (2003-04-06) news, but haven't seen it around:

1. mplayer 0.9 final is out. i compiled it and tried it with knoppix (with/without gui, ascii output, and other fun stuff). worked like a charm for me (tried only 0.9rc2 and rc3).

2. mplayer maintainer has left the project. seems like mplayer's future is somewhat unclear now. pitty. i like mplayer more than xine... let's hope they'll find a maintainer that will lead the project ahead.

This is bad news, really. But I'm sure that the mplayer project will keep up its good work.

Maybe Gabucino will become the leader?
