DV 2 DivX5 realtime

Is there any way to compress on the fly the DV data sent from a digital camera by firewire cable ? I mean a realtime DivX5 (at full rez) with capture (copy transfer via IEEE1394) and compression (with filtering like deinterlace and stuff), all in just one step, so that I could only spend 1:1 time ?

I've read on another thread that someone did that with analog capture using graphedit. But I guess you need a high-end machine to compress full PAL in realtime, and you need to compromise quality settings. And there's still the audio which you probably want to compress, too.

At least one thing is for sure: if you want quality the answer to your question is "no".
