dvd problem

Not sure if this should be in this section but here it is anyway.I have been backing up my collection of movies onto dvd with great result.Recently however the same movies which worked perfect have now started freezing and have a lot of blockiness.Most of the problems happen from about half way onwards.I use a pioneer dv350 standalone which has been perfect until now.Any ideas?Thanks. :confused:

The media is beginning to deteriorate, i.e. the dye is fading, leading to read errors. Try to copy these ASAP as they only get worse with time.
