can InstantCopy place a DVD-9 onto 2 DVD-5 ?
Or do I have to use another tool like IFOEDIT ?

Look for DVDToolbox. It can do what you want without losing any quality.

OK, but i want to know if InstantCopy is capable of doing that.

No, out of the box (and with all the helper tools I've seen) it's not capable of doing spliting. It's not what it was designed to do. Compressing a DVD9 to fit a single DVD5 is what it does (and does well).
