Hi everyone, hope someone can help, i've been told all the pro's come to this forum!

I have downloaded the dvd quality trailer for The Matrix Reloaded movie, and its in VOB file format, I would like to put this on to a dvd-r (continously looped if i can for display in my shop) but i have tried to create IFOs and BUPs for it, but no joy, (using IFOedit) i have used Steinberg DVD Copy and it created a PDI file, but i dont know what to do with that either!

Can anyone help please?

I would be very very grateful!

Just an advise.
Change your titel of the thread, delete all the multiple, questionmarks,Before a moderator sees it and barbecue you. Then read the sticky about caps and read the forumrules.
Cheers

you should try the dvd authoring and dvd burning forum, they could be more helpful; but then again, there's a rule about double-posting.

the easiest way to do that is just load the .vob file into a nero -dvd video template... it doesn't produce the obtimal quality and is generally not recommended for dvd backups but i guess it would be sufficient for your purpose!

this is not the appropriate answer on a kind and polite remark on what you have done wrong. you should be greatful that he's pointed you out to this fact.
here's the link to the thread he's referred to... it's a good thing to read no matter if you've broken a rule or not!

here's another good read too:

Ok, i tried to load the vob into nero, using the wizard on nero ver 5.5.9.0, i went to dvd-video and it said i need vob, ifos and bup files, i only have a vob file, i can't seem to create ifo's using the normal way, (ifoedit) i will try to burn without it, dunno if it'll work though. Any more clues if not Killingspree?

Nope, didnt work. Back to the drawing board. Any ideas??

well i guess you'll have to go for some kind of dvdauthoring program... unfortunately i do not know steinbergs DVD copy - so i can't give you any advice on that. except this thread: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=47259
obviously the *.pdi format is some kind of iso format... probably you can load it into nero and just burn it!

i guess you'll want to search the forum. obviously IC7 uses the same format so you'll find a lot. (i think the 'One click DVD backup solutions' forum would be most interesting for you!)

hope this helps

russ_beer,
Try NeroVision Express. I think it will take VOB files without asking for IFOs or Bup files.

seems strange but first we have to learn rules,
than the remainders....and wait for help!

if you break rules you got tons of "don't do it",
pms with menace advises, posts deleted....and some bonus.

but for help you got only a few answers!

your post is the best of the week!

:p :D
ps:
after this or i break any rule or maybe
my post is a good idea to make a new one(rule)
:p
