Rename file extension?How?

Hi!
I am trying to convert VCD's to DVD.I hope someone can help me.
I demuxed a file using TMPGenc to get a video stream (AVSQ01.m2v)and an audio stream(AVSQ01.mp2).
I then converted the audio file AVSQ01.mp2 from 44.1khz to 48khz using BeSweet so that it can be played on most standalone dvd player.
The result audio file after using BeSweet is a NewAVSQ01.mp2.
I need to rename the .mp2 file extension to .mpa so that can I can put the audio file and the video file together using Ifoedit.
How can I do that? Please help!

tools -> folder options -> view, uncheck Hide file extensions... (may vary on your OS) and rename you *.mp2 -> *.mpa, if your question was about converting *.mp2 -> *.mpa, i don't have a asnwer for that.
