Anybody have an opinion on this? I think for a pc that's dedicated to dvd/mp3/tivo, you don't need a powerhouse video card that can handle modern 3d games. That being said, does anyone have any experience with the All-in-Wonder VE? You can get it for about 100 bucks, it's got the same video processing engine and tv tuner specs used in the $400 AiW 9700, and most notably, it uses a PCI slot instead of AGP. It actually has a heat sink instead of a fan for total silence. It's only downsides (as far as I can tell) are that it doesn't come with the nice remote and it can't do 3d games that well. Anyway, I'm not trying to sell the product, I'm just interested in other peoples experiences with the card, since I've only found one or two decent reviews on the net.

The only nice thing about the 8500-9700 AIW cards is you can get component outputs from them. Otherwise any Radeon 1 card is about the same for TV purposes.

Hi

I have a GeForce 2 MX 200 AGP, this little piece of equipment provides smooth images from my DVD, even when I watch Satellite using
my Avermedia TV card the image is so vivid that I don't use my TV anymore.

At the time I bought it the cost was US$65.00 retail.

P.S.
The monitor also counts.

TV-out like svideo or composite? Nothing beats the old Matrox G400 32MB Dualhead. If you want to view on a monitor (VGA), then an ATI Radeon card or better has the best picture.
