hi all,

I just did tombraider with reauthorist.

I just burnt it....but when i try to play a deleted scene it goes blank.....:(

I looked into the original ifo and burnt one...

orginal:

burnt ifo:

http://home.planet.nl/~kost0112/burntifo.JPG

All i can see is that theres difference in lengths and a layerbreak, but also in vob id's used....and the start of the chapters.

But whats weird is that when i play the original dvd, it says its for example "playing chapter 3of6 of title 7of11"....but vts7 doesnt have those chapters?

Also in scenarist, in the vts7 track there are only 2 chapters, one at 00:00:00:00 and one at 00:07:58:13.

both ifo's dont have references to these chapters...? but when i play they seem to be there...but not in my copy...:(

where did it go wrong ?
-----------------------
update- i found out that my burnt disc was bad.....then i checked if it would play from HD, it worked ok.so i thought it was just a matter of burning a new disc.....however, i just did and it verified ok.but still it doesnt work:( i have ifoupdated vts07 before i burnt the new disc, to make sure it was updated.but no luck.....anybody an idea where to look?

Is this a seamless branching title (are vob ID's shared by PGC's)?

Does this matter? I mean when i play it back from HD, it works fine....so no error in ifo files i think.

AFAIK Demuxing by VOB ID is needed in DIF4U when dealing with Seamless Branching, but I don't know for sure, 'cause I've never dealt with such a DVD.

yes i think so too, however i couldnt use that cause reauthorist doesnt accept it....but like i said it works on the HD.....so its not the files itself i think.

By deleted scene do you mean a dummy file, or a deleted scene out of the DVD's extra's?

Aha, ok. Just I've got a dummy scene inserted by DIF4U I'm having a bit of trouble with similar to your problem.

well i let reauthorist handle the dummies....I just rip it all in DIF4U and then process it by reauthorist.works great......maybe trying it that way resolves your problem?

In the meanwhile i will keep looking, im still suspecting my disc is bad, or even my burner....i will get a new drive tommorrow.the files i get in the end are ok, the discs i use are datawrite (good ones) and i use either gear or prassi, so no probs there.only thing left is my drive....

Just another method you could try is to use Imgtools to create a ISO then use DVDDecrypter (or any ISO burnig software) to put it to DVD. I used to use Nero to create my DVD's, but every now and then I'd get these little video/audio coruptions. I changed to the above method and haven't seen anything funny since.
