I have very "simple" problem ,
I have downloaded a series ripped from DVD with both German and English leng. , So to save the space (it' about 4x20=80 files :) )
and because the default lang. is German which I do not need at all I wanted to remove the german lang ,
but the problem is that despite I already did such a "trick" with DivX AVIs using VirtualDub mod ,
the files coded in XViD , so the VirtualDub wan't open it because it's "not VFW codec" .
So does any one know good program to do the it or VFW (not DirectShow) XVid codec ?

Watch our for the rules (http://forum.doom9.org/forum-rules.htm), in particular 6 and 8.

I would like to say welcome to the forum but with a quadruple-cross-post and a *very* close #6 strike I can only recommend that you study the rules and make sure that you search the forum before your next post.

All this forum as well as doom9 site itself (except may be programming area) is "very close to #6 strike" :) the idea is not to cross the line ;)
As one of the developers of eMule Plus I am pretty much used to go "on the fine line" without crossing it :)

Anyway, avoid using the magic word "downloaded". If you say that you've downloaded a movie and we help you anyway both we and doom9 can get in trouble.

Thank you to all who did not helped :) and instead posted some legal notes on the topic they clearly have poor understanding :)
Anyway I found it myself , aperently the problem was that I used FFSHOW filter , after uninstalling it and installing "original" compiled XViD codec (isn't that violate MPEG4 licence ? :)) the VirtualDUBMode was able to read the files a OK .

You stated clearly you downloaded this in your first post. Do you expect us to break the rules by helping you? If you'd created another post (or perhaps editied this) where you described the problem from another "view" (that is, not using the word "download" ;)), I among others would have been glad to help you.
Anyway, welcome to the forums and I hope this first thread hasn't intimidated you (but make sure you read and understand the rules in the future).

I surely will obay the rules of the forum , but please don't give me this stuff about downloading , downloading IS NOT illegal ! Even downloading of movies from the net .
From the legal point of view you are forbiden to copy or destribute copyrighted material .
I allowed to :
a ) Make personal copies of any copyrighted material for personal use (so called "blank tape" law) .
b ) Download from the internet any type of content that not protected by copyright including but not limited to movies and movies ripped of not copirigt protected DVDs . Morever you allowed to share such material .
c ) Some of the copyright material have an age exparation , most of the copyrighted content is become non-copyrighted after from 10 years to 50 years according to your country laws , this can be a bit problematic because some content still protected by copyright law in one country is already "free" in another .
So once again "downloaded" does not mean illegal .

I know, that's why I never said that. I know my post may have had that tone, but I never said it. ;)
Just think how much stir one little word can do... If you'd written

Have a nice day :)
