I know people have said they can burn 815mb or even higher on one 80min CD. I use cloneCD to burn, and it says my bland CD has 826,595 bytes (about 806mb) space on it. Does it mean I can burn image at most 806mb large? or should I just ignore it and go for 825mb?

I don't generally overburn, but my understanding is that it is a trial and error thing. Your burner may or may not do the job. Your player may or may not play a overburned disk...so, it comes down to just trying it out on your setup.

correct. also, in case you'll want to play it in your friend's place, then you've got even more compatibility issues.
buttom line: it's not worth it. if you really need more space, move to dvd.

I have to disagree here a little if the following applies.
1. You never plan to use the CD on another DVD player.
If that is that case then you can burn to the max your DVD player allows. Notice I said DVD player and not CD burner. If you look in the advanced forum and search out some threads on 90 and 99 minute discs you will find that 9/10 times the amount that can be successfully played is determined by the player and not the burner.
My Pioneer DVD player was able to fully play much less then my Apex DVD player. I could burn about 15MB's more if I only wanted to watch it on the Apex. The difference became much larger with 90 and 99 minute cd's. I could burn and play almost 1GB on the 99 minute cd's if I on;y watched it on the Apex. Gave me about 100mb's per disc greater then my Pioneer.
I did end up abandoning the 90 and 99 minute SVCD idea and just moved onto DVD in the end.
If your burner supports overburning be sure to actually watch the whole disc. Even if you can chapter to the end it doesn't mean it has successfully read it all.
It can be worth it, but it is tricky and you do take a chance.
