I have searched the forum for an answer to my question but cannot find one. If there is a thread on the following; then please point me in the right direction. I have taken about 10 short 10 minute DV movies on my Camcorder. I can convert them to DVD vob files under variouse titled files o.k with the software I have. And I end up with 10 files. My question is:- How do I burn them on to one DVD+R as ten seperate movies? Each time I try, the burner keeps wanting to write over the previouse file. I am using the latest version of Nero to do the burning. :stupid:
This is an authoring problem. You need a software which allows for authoring more than one video file into a DVD structure (which will contain more than one VOB in the end, but you don't create each VOB separately).
I'd say you try DVDlab, which is still in beta stage, but if you can live with some quirks, it's an excellent program. I use it, and I'll buy it as soon as it's released. Search for "DVDlab" here on the forums, and you'll find a link to the beta.
You may also want to check out the DVD authoring forum.

Thanks bb,
Checked out the Dvd authoring pages. Got a result using IfoEdit and VobEdit. For anyones interest I found a page on the forum that explains it http://ifoedit.wh.fr0zen.com/joinclip.html#joindbl
I renamed all the vob files from each DV movie to end with 001 - 010 saved them to a new directory; created another directory called movie1. VobEdit joined the files into abouth three or four VOB's, renamed them starting with VTS_01_1 to VTS_01_4 and saved them into the movie1 directory. I then ran IfoEdit which created the IFO files for the VOB's. Checked the play through my PC DVD player Bingo!:) :) Thanks for the help bb....Dave

Bad News:angry:
The above worked o.k on the P.C. but failed to play anything else apart from the first clip on the standalone player.
Any advice would be appreciated..............Dave
A possible cause may be different audio formats, if you put everything in a single video title set (VTS). Make sure your video and audio formats are the same for each VTS, or use a software which can deal with multiple VTSs.

Thanks for the reply bb.
All the audio and video were the same, they were all sent to pinnacle studio 8 from the same dv camcorder, edited, rendered, and saved to hard disk as 6 seperate DVD compilations. I then renamed each VOB file, saved it to a new folder. Used VobEdit to 'Join Clips', into another folder, then used IfoEdit to create Ifo files. This worked O.K. with Power DVD on the P.C. When I came to burn it on to a DVD+RW, and run it on a stand alone, it was not having anything of it. I could flick through chapters, it would start to play, and revert back to the first part of the movie. Any thoughts, other than what you wrote above?..........Dave:confused:
Sorry, no clue, but you may want to try DVDlab, which is not yet released, but it's a great easy-to-use software.
See http://www.mediachance.com/dvdlab/ for information.
To download the beta software dig in the forum: http://www.mmbforums.com/cgi-bin/forums/ikonboard.cgi?;act=SF;f=28
Good luck!

I second bb on this.
Use DVDlab, it is really easy to master and will be perfect for home made movies on DVD.
