I'm working on an anime DVD (interlaced) but didn't want to do IVTC....so I did DVD2AVI -> Avisynth -> CCE 2.50 - now, virtualdub (and anything else) reads the .avs as a 29.970fps video. CCE's output, unfortunately, is 23.976fps. As a result, doing pulldown on it makes it look wonky. Doing a direct framerate change to 29.970fps makes it look wonky. Whatever interlacing was still in there, I don't mind leaving for my TV to smooth over, but if I can't get the FPS to be unchanged through the CCE processing, I don't know what to do! Looking wonky = like it was IVTC'd poorly (all the animation is jumpy). Does anyone have a suggestion on what to do with this problematic title? I shouldn't set DVD2AVI to force film, because it's an interlaced title [it looks weird if I do this, and then pulldown (I tried)], and all other combinations still end up looking poor. Is there a setting in CCE that alters the framerate I can set in the .ecl?
