Ok, this seems strange to me, but when we can find the latest movies in the net why nobody is converting them to DVD. I cant beleave Im the only one !!!
Im using Studio 8 from Pinacle or ShowBiz from ArcSoft for that. The results are limited only because the vídeo freze in some part of the movie and is the same from that point to the end of the movie.

Any sugestion???

This freezing is usually down to crappy encoding on somebody's part, but thats what you get with dodgy downloaded, pre-release movies.

Most people don't bother putting these onto DVD because they're not worth it. They have no interactive content/menus and quality is not exactly DVD-like. There's also the cost of DVD media - most people, myself included, would consider putting DivX/Xvid AVIs onto DVDs a waste of money.

Why burn to DVD when a SVCD will do with no quality loss?

I dont think you have had a look at the xvid movies you can get off the net. I have a DLP projector displayed onto a six foot wide screen and the picture quality is fantastic. I run my projector through my computer and none of my friends would know if they were watching a real dvd or an xvid movie.I also would like to know how to put the xvids to a dvd disc. I do not care about extras and menus. I just like watching movies. At the moment it is just as cheap to put them on dvd as to vhs tape. If I knew how to do it. I can use dvd2one for dvd discs. I tried dvd factory but it says my discs are not big enough.

Ok, I found thw way to make that, my only problem now is that I lose sync in subpictures.
For that I only need DVD2SVCD (I think is the easy way), DVD Maestro and SubRip. The results are excelent. :-)

well my problem looks like the one you previously had, ie: converting XviD/DivX to mpeg2/DVD. I use "TMPGEnc plus" to convert subbed mangas (not out yet here in france, and probably won't for 6 months, if ever).
Anyway, the problem is freezing on a regular basis, as it is manga it is especially annoying during "travellings"...

As idbirch2 said it previously crappy encoding could be the cause, however, the divx plays nicely and smoothly...

Anyone has an idea?

putting ~7 episodes of your favorite manga and enjoy it on your standalone DVD player is my goal... the picture quality is correct but the freezing messes it all.

Thanks.
