Hi Guys !

I'd just like to announce what's next on DVDToolbox:

- New Changegraphics
I got some changegrapics from users. Cool work.
I'll put the best on the home page !

- Moving of subpicture
A friend of mine is asking my for a while ..
But for what is that good ? I also needed that explanation:
There are people that have a beamer.
There are people that have a silver screen. (so far so good :) )
There are people that have a masked silver screen. (uff .. )
Because the black bars over and under the movie are not realy
black they use a special black cloth to mask it.
... Now hollwood always puts the subpicture into the black bars,
the guys can't see them.

So DVDToolbox can (in next Version) move the Subpicture into
the Picture ...

Is there a way to stop DVD Toolbox from putting it's graphic at "The END" of the movie. I'd rather this wasn't done.

If you don't like the graphics use the "<------>" selection !
That should to it !

Thanks for the pointer, but could you explain a little more about this. Where do I make this selection?

Thanks

Ok, first of all:
There are several grapics available for the toolbox.
Look in the download section of www.dvdtoolbox.de,
maybe you find a graphic you wanna use.
Else you can make you own graphic ?

If I can't get you to use the graphics, here the instruction to don't use it :D

In the ContentPicker-Dialog on the right side you'll find the
"Change-/Endgraphic" box. Here you can choose the "<----->" item.
(Should be first in the combo box ...)

Have fun !

First thanks for a great program.

But the new changegrapics the "space" itīs faulty when you do a 2 dics split using this changegrapics you get "insert disc 1" on the end of disc 1 but it should say "insert disc 2"
Could you please correct this, like to use this changegrapics as itīs very nice loking on my projector.
Please post when the new version of space avieble to download.

If your having trouble downloading it for whatever reason I have a mirror of it http://www.mrbass.org/dvdtoolbox/

Please post when the new version of space avieble to download.
actually what do you mean?

Patric99
29th April 2003, 19:25
try doing a 2 dics split and use the "space" change grafic, then you se that the first disc have the wrong change grafic, It should say " Please insert disc 2", but the itīs say "Please insert disc 1 " .
All the other change graffics say " Please insert 2" on the first disc.
Thats why I want to know when "space" has been corrected.

What was unclear about my last post?
"But the new changegrapics the "space" itīs faulty when you do a 2 dics split using this changegrapics you get "insert disc 1" on the end of disc 1 but it should say "insert disc 2" "

Is it only me who have tried the "space" change grafic?

DVDToolbox

In PAL-Mode the Changegraphic is ok.

But I'm not the author of the "space" - changegraphic;
but I've send him a mail.

Not for me, I only have pal dvds and tried it not one time, but 5 times ( with "space" and diffrent movies) and evry one got the same fault.
Done aproximate 20 with the other ones and all the others come out correct.

DVDToolbox

Please try to download the changegraphic again.
I use this graphic all the time .. no problems so far.

Please come back if you have a result !

Downloaded "space", instaled it.
Then did a 2 disc split.
And exactly the same as evrytime I used " space", " please insert disc 1" ( at the end of disc 1, second titelset), disc 2 say "the end" as it should be.( using dvd toolbox 0.13.1)
Did one testing with "blown away" also and that one turned out correct!("please insert disc 2", at the end of disc 1, second titelset)

Strange problem this, if it works for you, but not for me!!

DVDToolbox
30th April 2003, 23:31
Ups .. I mixed them up ..
I allways use "blown away".
I'll try "space" asap !

I tried to use DVDToolbox and I was able to split the DVD into two disks, but I lost the title screen with the buttons for scene selection. Is this a shortcoming in DVDToolbox or am I doing something wrong.

dvdtoolbox currently does 'main movie only'. No menus, extras, etc.

Thanks for confirming that DVDToolbox will split the movie, but won't retain the title screen and scene selection material. Is there any software, free or commercially available, that will convert a DVD-9 to 2 DVD's of comparable quality, while retaining and correctly modifying the scene selection, and other bonus material?

hello, all

i tried to explain this problem in my other post, but my english wasn't good enough. i have just asked someone who is not a "dvd pro" to explain in his own words what he thinks the problem is (or what he sees the problem to be). i'm making a backup of my kids' dvd's only because they are deteriorating. i've never done made copies of movies, cartoons only (excluding Mary Poppins which came out fine). i always use the same method -- DVD region "1" to dvd decryptor/dvd toolbox/ic7. all software is updated. in the dvd decryptor, i strip everything but the main movie and english language/subtitles. in more than half of the disks i made so far, after using dvd decriptor, i run into a problem -- in the beginning (VTS_01_1.vob), when the credits are running(with a song), the picture and the sound "stick", or sound like a broken record. the image zooms in and out a little, and flickers. as soon as the credits end and the introductory music is over, the rest of the dvd is fine all the way to the end. do you have any ideas what's going on and do you have any suggestions?
