Drag what to the disc -- video or data? I personally use Nero Burning Rom for video and InCD for data (to use the disc as a large floppy drive), but I've had problems with InCD formatting my discs.

You can "format" the disc in Nero by choosing "Erase Re-Writable" or just drag & drop your compilation and hit burn - if the disc is already full/used Nero will say "Do you want to erase this before burning". I take it you don't need to know what button to press at this point....

I've been using these for a while, as described, and now have a new question. I have a coaster -R. The file set has some modifications to the menu structure. It played OK on the PC, but the burned -R behaved funny in PowerDVD, and on the standalone goes immediately into some kind of menu loop. Obviously, a problem in the IFO's somewhere. What I'm thinking is, trial and error, using -RW. I have some hunches. I'm wondering, though, if I can burn the fileset to [TEST]-RW, test it, then make a change to an .ifo and re-burn just that one file, to the TEST disc, without re-burning the whole movie. Etc, etc, until I find the problem. Can someone with more -RW experience than I say if this is possible (re-burning a single file of a set)?

This is not possible - you would have to burn the whole thing again. With multisession writing you cannot put a file of the same name in the same directory as you cannot delete files, only add to the existing ones.
