I heard there was a bug with IMGTools 0.90 that could cause the .img file to be corrupt. I've made a few images with this program and am now wondering how to scan the .img files for corruption and if possible fix the problem.
Thanks,

Try another version of IMGtools? I have been using ImgTools to burn video_ts folders for several months now without incident.

Until now nobody reports any bug regarding ImgTool Classic to me. Surely you will ever get some comments about problems (files larger than 4GB can't be builded on Fat32,...) but no real bug until now...

I personally havn't experienced issues with the program. Certain people seem to think the program creates "corrupt image files with bad ECC data" and that this is a "well known issue." Apparently the rest of us have been "lucky." :p

Yeah, thats what I was referring to, I too have not had any problems thus far with imgtools classic but don't want to risk a coaster if I happen to get 'unlucky'. Strange that nobody has reported the bug to Coujo if it is a well known issue. Oh well, thanks for the nice tools Coujo.

i didnt think there was any ecc data in a 2048 bytes per sector image file?! Its just all data isn't it?

Hello LIGHTNING UK!,
you're right. Because of the sector size of 2048 bytes there couldn't be any ECC data. Thats the difference between ISO and RAW...

Well that's good to know.
