Is there anyway to convert(resizing)?
When I backup aspect ratio 2.35:1 DVD to DVD5, I want to covert to AR 1.85:1 and burn. So I can watch full 16X9 sizes(no black bars top and bottom).
Please help me on this.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
You should have no problem to do so. 2,35:1 Movies have small black bars top and bottom so that the AR with the bars is 1,85:1. So the treatment doesn't differ from 1,85:1 movies.
Hope this helped

Well, almost. 16:9 equates to 1.77:1, so even 1.85:1 movies have a little matting (black bars).
@pccfm - what do you mean by convert (and why 1.85:1 when your goal was for "full 16x9")? DVDs are either 4:3 or 16:9, so a 2.35:1 movie on DVD is already either Pan/Scanned to 4:3, or matted to 16:9. A few movies get Pan/Scanned to 16:9 (removing the sides until the full DVD height can be used)

Thanks for replying.
Well, My concerned is full 16X9 with 1.85:1.
Which is those movie not showing black Bars up and down.
Its like when I am playing in WinDVD, it show 16X9 full screen,
but 2.35:1 movies are more wider but see black bars on the top and bottom.
So if I can resizing to 1.85:1 when I backing up, it will be greatful.
However, I couldn't find any solution for that.
Any guiding?
Thanks
