Hi

I've made a backup from the schrek movie. Between the Dreamcast screen and the start of the film there are production messages from the production.
I think it is part of a copy safety. The production messages are switching from englisch to dutch it takes normaly about 15 sec. but now it takes 36 sec. After many problems and checking [Remove Iivu/Angle point] in Ifoedit I've got sofar that the copy playes in my dektop without jumping from intro to chapter 2. Would like to get that switch problem in order.
Anybody an idea what happens?

I too ran into this same problem. I was using the vob extras button in ifoedit to create new ifo files. I solved this by following 2Cool's guide http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=48421 which retains more of the original ifo structure and it plays through the introduction just fine.

Thanks for the help.:D
I've followed the guid and everything go's well untill I strip the movie.
IfoEdit give's errors that the size end bytes (Or something like that.) of the ifo and bup files are differend.
When I start the movie in IfoEdit the movie stops playing with the production titles.
I thougth maybe it could be that there is a search when the program switched to inglish subpictures playing the Inglish subtitles so I tryed stripping leaving the Inglish subtitles in the film but that does not work either. I think I also have to incluid the Dutch sound track for that and then the size of the file is to big to fit the dvd.
I have tryed The Schrink program but I get the same problem.

OMG I'm sorry. I checked into it and found I gave you the wrong link. I used this one http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?threadid=49087&highlight=movieonly+AND+dvd95copy

I didn't strip anything with IFOEdit. I just copied the files mentioned in step 2 and went all the way through step 17. My preview in IFOEdit doesn't work any more since installing IC7 so I just load the VIDEO_TS.IFO into PowerDVD to check it. After I made sure it worked I burned the files with Nero Express that came with my burner.

P.S. I'm registered with DVD95Copy but I'm sure DVD Shrink could do the same things and it's free.

Hi thanks for the help.
Everything go's well followed the guid and the movie playes well in IfoEdit. Used schrink to downsize the file and the movie playes well in IfoEdit.:D
I don't know how you manege to play the video_ts in powerdvd I can only play vobs. Playing the vobs I get the france menu.
RecorNowMax will not burn the files [Job terminated whit errors.].
Nero Burning rom will not burn either [Unexpected exception.].

I'm using the default skin in PowerDVD. It's the blue one with the shuttle on the right side. There is a button just to the left of the shuttle that has a picture of a white opened envelope. If you click this button you can choose "Open DVD File on Hard Drive." Then just browse to your VIDEO_TS.IFO and open it. This should work with all movies that have been decrypted with Smartripper or DVD Decryptor.

With RecordNow I've run into the same thing. I got it last night and tried a couple burns but both were unsuccessful and stopped recording at 1-4% I'll do some checking if there's a way to fix this program or not. I have a Pioneer DVR-105 recorder which is pretty popular so I'm pretty sure RecordNow should have support for it.

Roxio Easy CD Creator 5.3.4.21 didn't work either. This program came with my regular 40x CDRW drive but it also has an option to make Data DVD's with my DVD-R drive. I put my files into a VIDEO_TS folder and also created an empty AUDIO_TS folder. I successfully burned the disc all the way through and the movie works on my computer. Unfortunately my stand-alone player in the living room says this is not the right type of disc :(

I don't have the full version of Nero so I'm not much help there. It has a lot of advanced settings that Nero Express doesn't. I remember seeing someone post what settings work good in that program a while back and I'll try to find that link for you.

Nero Express 5.5.10.20 works but isn't the ideal solution. It records the movie great and I can play it in all my drives. But it always sets up the volume label as NEW and I can't stand that. This is some bug in the software because it has a place as you go through the wizard to put a volume label. It just doesn't pay attention to what you put. i.e. You can enter SHREK and instead when it gets done burning you'll find your disc labeled as NEW
