DVD burning and 100 different programs

Is there any ONE program that can rip a dvd to the hard drive and then burn it to a dvd-r?

Seems like you need 10 different programs to do one thing :P

You might have missed this forum: One click DVD backup solutions (http://forum.doom9.org/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=65). There you can get information about the various tools that can do this, such as DVD Shrink, InstantCopy, DVD2One, etc.

Disclaimer: I don't use a DVD burner, so can't answer any questions about these tools.
