Ok - I think I have the basic IfoEdit down to create IFO's for VOB files. I burned the files on DVD and nero and it plays fine. But for some reason (on my pioneer 525 player), it has green subtitles that are displayed! What's weird, is that these are not displayed when I play the dvd on my computer. How can I make these not show up on my home player? Is there a command in IFOedit that will ensure all subtitles are off? Or remove them all? I ripped this VOB files using dvd decrpyter, but thought I removed everything except english 6 channel audio and the movie...any ideas?
thanks

Whenever you create new IFOs with a VOB set containing subtitles, your PGC subtitle's color table gets zeroed out and that why you get "green fuzzy subtitles". It's also mentioned in Question #5 in the IFOedit Q&A sticky. Here's a guide to fix it, Correcting Fuzzy Green Subtitles in New IFO (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&postid=283424#post283424).
Stripping in DVD Decryptor can be done but this is I usually do if I wanted a movie only with one audio without transcoding/encoding.

1. Rip DVD using DVD Decrypter's IFO mode.

2. Open up movie's IFO in IFOedit
_________________________________________________
3. Go topside in IFOedit, in Title task bar, and select VOB Extras / strip streams.
_________________________________________________
4. Everything is selected for stream stripping but since new IFOs are needed too, click on "Create New IFO Files (movie only)" option.

5. Select a created destination folder besides your movie folder.

6. Press OK and the rest of the steps should be self explantory.

thanks for the info - however, i read it and it looks like it describes how to change the color of the subtitle. I am trying to completely remove the subtitle so that nothing besides the movie is played. How do i accomplish this?
thanks

In step 4 above, any audio or subtitle detected will have a checkbox with it. Uncheck all your subtitles to not keep them and you will have no subtitles in your new files created in your destination folder. That's what strip stream is all about. Elementary streams are individual videos (.m2v), audios(.ac3), and subtitles (.sup).
