I am absolutely, totally new and totally unfamiliar with ripping/burning DVD's. I did successfully copy "Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron" using the default settings on DVD2SVCD after one failure. This time I've had the same failures with "Scooby Doo" and "Harry Potter"--everything appears to go fine using the default settings, I burn the CD's, we pop them in the DVD player, and it plays. Trouble is, it plays so far and then skips back, plays so far and skips back to a spot just ahead of where it previously skipped back. I have NO idea what I'm doing wrong! I've searched the forum and read the FAQ but unless the terminology is over my head (which is very likely), I haven't found anything similar. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to the forum! I hope you find it useful.

Not all set top players can play SVCDs, and not all of them support CD-R or CD-RW media. First, check your set top DVD player's capabilites by clicking on www.vcdhelp.com/dvdplayers, and see what your make and model's capabilities are.

Second, DVD2SVCD produces a .log file. You may want to copy/paste it here. It will give the community a look at the process and settings you used ... as well as which release of the DVD2SVCD software suite you're using.

Third, if you haven't already seen it, you may want to click on Doom9's DVD2SVCD Guide (http://www.doom9.org/mpg/dvd2svcd.htm). There may be something procedurally in that guide that jumps out at you with a quick solution.
