View Full Version : Maybe an Install problem Maybe a BUG

I installed the 0.28 Beta last night from the sourceforge April 15th release.

I set up an encoding. The compressibility test worked fine. I used 2pass and both passes completed fine and the resultant *.AVI with muxed AC3 runs perfectly.

Now the problem: I set the GN program to split the CD's as I did a 2 CD encode and to shut down when complete. When I checked the system in the morning it was not shut down as there were two error posted so the program did not finish. When I clicked OK to both errors the system shut down immediately. The file was never split into 2 CD's but like I said the single *.AVI was fine.

Here are the errors that were in the win2k dialog boxes:

"SYLIA Script error"

expected ";"

I only installed the Rip Pack and the codec 0.6 pack.

Hope this is useful. Probably something i did not install correctly but just in case I am posting this.

Thanks missed that post. Sorry.

Will uninstall beta and install beta2 and try again.

Just so I know do I need to uninstall the codec's and reinstall them if the codec pack rev has not changed. I have been doing this everytime up ugrade to be safe but am I just wasting my time.

You can leave the codecs in place, it won't hurt anything.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled GKnot (with the installers) over 20 times in my testing (when I was making installers). Never once did I reinstall the codecs.
