Outta two 100 packs of Ritek 4X only the first pack would burn at 4X with firmware 1.0d on sonydru500ax.
4X takes 16mins DVD-R
my other Ritek 4X only burn at 2X so it's 30mins
I just bought a 100pack of Ritek 2.4X DVD+R and they take about 23mins (no opening or closing session)
So I'll take 23mins 2.4X over 30mins for more expensive 4X media which is hit and miss.
these are very expensive lessons to learn.
btw anyone know what the exact bytes of DVD+R and DVD-R.
I have a DVD-R that is 4,700,512,256 bytes.
I try to copy it with Nero on-the-fly but DVD+R it says it doesn't have enough room on target.
Nero medium info says on
blank DVD-R 4,489MB 4,706,074,624 bytes
blank DVD+R 4,483MB 4,700,372,992 bytes
