@Doom9
First of all I would like to say that GKnot was the Best (and first :) ) all in one tool and I was a fanatic user... But times have change and things have moved on...
Sure I think it deserves a second break and the effort to bring it up to date is more than welcomed by everyone...
But why not give the others a chance?
Spice up the competition?
DVX (http://www.planetdvb.net/) is, to my humble opinion, by far better, and also under GNU General Public License (GPL)...
I 've read your suggestions for future of GKnot and I think DVX has everything u say such a program should have...
Please Don't stop giving us the best...

A download link for DVX would be a nice start and... who knows, if you try it out and agree with me, maybe even a guide... :o

I had two discussions with Doom9 but we had to many different opinions...

I don't think it is good to have to much publicity while the beta test
because when the program does not work or is not finished people simply
don't use it and don't try a second time. I don't know when the beta
phase will be finished because there are always big changes but until
then I take care of all bug reports as fast as I can, I upload new
test versions sometimes everyday. Once all programs proved to be stable
I will try to convince sites like Doom9, everwicked, MPEGX etc. and also
hope PC magazines will write about it. The thing I was always worried
is many people don't like to install the .NET framework. I expected .NET
to spread much faster because I was impressed by the technology but wasn't
aware of how much people completely distrust Microsoft.

how much people completely distrust Microsoft.

... which isn't such a bad thing IMO.

But time will work for you... Longhorn will support DVX out of the box... .NET wise, I mean. ;)
