I was able to make a great movie even better! Many thanks to 2COOL and his guide http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=50245 !!!
This was a DVD5 movie so it would fit on one disk but I wanted to improve it even more.
My first objective was to remove the Warner Brothers logo. After examining the disc with IFOEdit I discovered the unwanted clip was stored as a separate title. Further investigation showed me there were no precommands that executed a break. I located this information by opening VTS_01_0.IFO and going to VTS_PGCITI, VTS_PGC_2, PGC Command Table. To remove the logo I simply added the number of pre commands (which was 17) to the number of post commands (which was 3) to get an end result that was 20. I then changed the number of pre commands to 20.
My second objective was to remove the FBI Warning I found stored as title 3 when I was examining the disc for the WB logo during my first objective. My investigation showed me there were no precommands that executed a break. I located this information by opening VTS_01_0.IFO and going to VTS_PGCITI, VTS_PGC_3, PGC Command Table. To remove the logo I simply added the number of pre commands (which was 1) to the number of post commands (which was 1) to get an end result that was 2. I then changed the number of pre commands to 2.
My third objective was to jump to the main menu when starting the DVD. The original DVD was designed to start playing the WB logo and then play the main movie right away. I wanted to change this behavior to start the DVD menu selection screen when you insert the DVD into your player. To do this I opened VIDEO_TS.IFO and went to VMGM_MAT, First Play PGC, PGC Command Table, and changed the pre command to JumpSS_VTSM Jump To Titleset Menu - Title Nr 1 - TitleSet Nr 1 - Menu Root.
I ended up with a DVD that I liked better than the original :D
