I have borrowed my father in law's sony handyman mini-dv camcorder and would like to know how to transfer the video from the tape to the pc where I can edit it and produce a dvd-r video disc. I have a firewire port but he has no cable. I would be glad to get one if this is what I need, however the manual does not clarify this. The only part of the manual that says anything about inputing the video to pc talks about analog capture, which does not make any sense at all as to why I would use digital dv in the first place. Please help me in what I hope is a simple request...
