I have been backing up movies for awhile now and never had problems with CCE 2.5 and Avisynth. Now CCE is giving me this error when doing the 2nd pass of the Robshot method (it's fine on the 1st pass using One-pass VBR):
Error: Video check-sum is different from that of previous pass.
Source video data or time code may be different.
Please check video tape or the information file.
Please check video tape or the information file.

--- information -----
Current: check-sum = 00a0ae4a
Previous: check-sum = 00a0ae4d

And then CCE stops. I have tried Avisynth 2.07 as well as older vers of Avisynth. Im using a simple script: Loading mpeg2dec3.dll, the .d2v file and ReSampleAudio (cause I have an AMD cpu). I just recently reinstalled win2k also because of this prob. Please help. Thanks.

There's a patch for this problem, look here: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=21859&highlight=video+checksum+error

But next time you've got a question, do a search before!
This problem, aswell as the other you've posted points to a hardware-problem again, I think.

Maybe I should have mentioned that before, I already have applied the patch. I just did another run and this time I didn't get the check-sum error. You say that this points to a hardware problem? How so? Here is what I am using:
To rip: A brand new 16x Pioneer dvdrom (slave on 2nd IDE, set to DMA)
To burn: A Pioneer 104 (master on 2nd IDE, set to PIO because of coasters when at DMA)

What other type of hardware problems could it be?

Of course I'm not sure, if it's a hw-prob in your case but it might be a RAID-related problem, if you're using one, I also read about RAM-overlocking, which caused that prob. But the other one -selfclosing CCE- is more serious I think..

Here is my setup:
1.2 Tbird and a Kt133a via chipset mobo (Abit) (not overclocked)
296 MB PC 133 RAM (not overclocked)
60 gig WD 7200 hd
16x dvdrom Pioneer

Running Win2k SP2 on a fresh install

Anyone have any idea why CCE 2.5 SP would self close itself after encoding?
