Hi-
Many of us use GKnot for cropping, resizing, getting the bitrate, setting up the .avs, getting subs, etc., and then do the encoding in VDub, Nandub, or VDubMod. It's been difficult to get accurate compress test results out of GKnot when using the XviD (with B-Frames enabled), or DivX 5.03/4 codecs.
So, jonny has revised and expanded his DivX5Enc. (now known simply as Enc.) which many of you are familiar with from DivX 5.02, to handle compress tests for just about any codec. You can find more information (it can do other things also) and get it from This Thread (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=50714). Make sure you read the index.htm to learn how to set it up.
