Hi
I am trying to make a backup copy of FEMME FETALE.
It has 3 VTS in which VTS2 is the main movie.
In VTS1 and VTS3, it seems that there exist "seamless branching":
VTS_01->
PGC_1 (TTN: 1) (00:23:42.18 / 30 fp) (Programs: 1) (Cells: 1) (uses VOB-ID:1)
PGC_2 (TTN: 2) (00:25:33.09 / 30 fp) (Programs: 1) (Cells: 2) (uses VOB-ID:1,2)
and for VTS_03 ->
PGC_1 (TTN: 1) (uses VOB-ID:1)
PGC_2 (TTN: 2) (uses VOB-ID:2)
PGC_3 (TTN: 3) (uses VOB-ID:3) (VOB-ID 3 has 20499 frames, almost 11 min 23 seconds)
PGC_4 (TTN: 4) (uses VOB-ID:4)
PGC_5 (TTN: 5) (uses VOB-ID:3)
(each PGC in VTS_03 has only one chapter and one cell)
Since there was repeated VIB-IDs in the PGCs, I demuxed the extras (VTS_01 and VTS_02) by VOB-ID (using DoItFast4U) and transcoded them.
Then started the authoring program and imported the audio and video streams. I checked VTS_01_0.IFO and VTS_03_0.IFO in ChapterXtractor, there was not chapter position in the VOBs except for the beginning of each VOB-ID (00:00:00;00), therefore I decided that I did not need to import the chapters to the authoring program. The next thing I reconstructed the VTS based on original IFO :
VTS_01: PGC_2 uses VOBID_1 and VOBID_3
VTS_02: PGC_5 uses VOBID_3
And then I compiled it and updated the IFOs of extras as well as main movie.
Now I have two problems:
1- while watching the DVD off my hard disk by PowerDVD, if I try to skip ,say, 10 seconds of one of the extras, it does not skip and instead it goes directly to extra menu !!! :confused:
2- I tried Nero and also ImageTool classic 0.9 to make an image of the backuo and mounted it. But every DVD player I have freezes at the first attempt to read the mounted image.
By the way, why on earth the length of a VOB should change during demuxing ? If you looked at the VTS_01 above you would notice that VOB-ID 2 has a length of almost 1 min 50 seconds. But when I check my ripped video stream (VTS__01_V02.4~3_1.mpv) it is more than 2 min 30 seconds !!! :scared:
Any input is greatly appreciated.
P.S. Am I right about VTS_01 and VTS_02 being "seamless branched" :rolleyes:
Thanks
I have also included a picture of the IFO and scenarist
