Dear webmaster of doom9.hu and those wanting to start their own mirror,
you should really try to attract helpers for your site in this translation forum. It's a very hard job to do everything alone - the website/hosting problems alone are difficult and the amount of guides is huge. You will need months to translate it alone... so try to find co-workers before going the official way.
if you've got some helpers, doom9 can be sure that your project is active and running. Then you'll receive your flag next to the other doom9 mirrors.
and a hint:
you can change that German text on:
http://www.doom9.hu/doc-overview.htm
and... why do you mark all guides with the half-flag? only mark those who really are assigned to a person that is willing to translate it. And don't forget to set a deadline - if the guide isn't translated after 2 weeks (or 1 week or as much time as you want to give the translator), then remove the "work in progress" half-flag.
Also be sure to read the Stickys in this forum (my guidelines for example).
