I posted this on the IC board and a few responses think it may be a IFO "problem" of sorts.

I have a few movies ripped on my HD, ripped with decrypter, IFOedit, got VTS sectors, region free, etc, etc. The movies will play just fine through WinDVD 4 and PowerDVD. I am working with just the movie, no extras, all audio except english stripped and all subtitles stripped also. ANYWAY....the files are still around 5.4 GB so I am trying to use IC7 to resize the DVD. However....

I open the VIDEO_TS.IFO in IC7 set my resize slider and when my image files are made I convert them to ISO so I can view them with Daemon tools and when I view them I am missing part of the movie. One movie I am missing about the last 8 minutes (which would be OK if it was just credits) and the other movie I am missing the first 5-8 minutes. With the first movie the last chapter is 22 and as chapter 22 starts the movie stops, the same with the second movie except chapter 1 is the problem and it just goes straight to chapter 2.

When I use IC7 I only get one Title set in my resize window instead of 12-18 or so like everyone else. But as the movie is re-encoding all of the chapter points are shown as it runs through it's 5 checks.

So if anyone could help me out of this double ended quandry I surely would appreciate it.

Well I'm not sure, but I would say that *maybe* you spoiled your movie at the IfoEdit stage. Did you bother to check if the result after the IfoEdit stripping was still playable and complete? If so, then you'd better ask the IC gurus, otherwise I would start all over again the IfoEdit stripping, taking care at each step.

you said movie only: you will only have one titleset
did you strip any vob ids at the begining?
even a small one will start the movie in the next chapter!

Thanks Reecy.

I got it figured out. For some reason IC7 was throwing off my time stamp in my IFO. I just happened to notice that at the place where the one movie cut off the time was the length of the original movie. So I converted my PDI's to ISO, mounted with Daemon tools, reripped with decrypter and then IFOedited again and the movie is just fine.

So it was just an IFO problem. It was my first go around with IC7. But since the time of the original post, I have backed up 8 DVD9 perfectly.

As far as the Title set comment, yea...I know...I don't know what I was thinking...I'm retarded.

I just downloaded DVDshrinker, can't wait to check it out, I'm going there now.
