REALLY doubt it. DVD2SVCD relies almost completely on Windows only programs. And it also uses the Win32 API to interact with them.

Try it in WINE though. It would be a good experiment. But I doubt it would work for the reason that the programs couldn't interact.

I have learned to never say never, but I highly doubt it will ever happen. Mostly because DVD2SVCD relies on many other programs to work and they must also have a linux counterpart.

There is a tool called dvd::rip (http://www.exit1.org/dvdrip) and it can output in svcd format as well.

I guess that this guide (http://www.bunkus.org/dvdripping4linux/index.html) will help a lot in using linux to get svcds

Have a nice day! :)

Hi, I'm running the current CVS Wine Version with the current DVD2SVCD and CCE 2.5. I rip with "vobcopy -m" under Linux as it works faster for me compared to ripping with wine & DVD2SVCD. Everythings works fine till CCE is started an the remote commands are send to the CCE-GUI. I use FitCD to edit the avs script and let CCE do the job . Now I have to figger out how to tell DVD2SVCD to continue working with the new video files. A possible solution might be to edit the project file...
