I have a problem with the playback of DivX 5.0.3 files.
There are colorsteppings and visible pixels in some colors (I know it's because of YV12 but they usually weren't visible) in the movie.
At first I thought it was in the movie but I think the Divx decoder causes the problems.
I've read that the msyuv.dll could cause the problem ,so i searched the forum but I didn't find something so I started this thread.

Here are two files where the problems are visible.
Problem with the Pixels (http://hometown.aol.de/dvdkhl86/pixel.avi) (look at the umbrella)
Problem with the Color (http://hometown.aol.de/dvdkhl86/stepping.avi)

Please tell me if you see the colorstepping or the pixels.
If not tell me what decoder you use to playback the movie.

Hi-

I couldn't see anything wrong with them. I'm using ffdshow (http://www.doom9.org/Soft21/Filters/ffdshow-20021213.exe) for decoding.

I tried ffdshow but it didn't worked out for me. I think it looked even worse.
(I never used ffdshow before so it could be me because there are many options)
But I solved the pixel problem. I turned on the YUV option in the DivX Decoder Preferences.
Now the only problem I have is that with the colorstepping.

What I found out:
- The problem isn't visible in VDubMod
- The colorstepping isn't on an other computer with DivX 5.0.2 installed

I'm going to try the movie on another computer with DivX 5.0.3

The problems appered only in some places so I thought there must be something special in this places.
Maybe it's high Chroma or Luma value
and when it is that, there is maybe a filter that can correct it.

What I also want to know is, what files are involved to decode a Divx Movie so I can experiment a little with them.

I finally found out what caused the playback problems.
It was the damn freakin Graphic-driver (the newest Detonator)
I installed ealier version for now...
I'm going to play around with the newest Detonator a little.
Maybe I can solve the problem there too.
Who knows :)
