My OS is WinXP and it's Nandub 1.0rc2 build 1852. I've installed ACE Megacodecs pack and I even tried reinstalling divx 3.11alpha codec without results. I've got this problem that every encode that I do has the same bitrate. I calculated that it always uses the same bitrate 910k (nandub's default) and increasing or decreasing of it won't make difference. I'm trying to fit a movie into 1CD and with 910k bitrate the size is too big. I've heard that somebody got the same problem under W2K. What causes this? How can I fix this?? I'd appreciate a help.

ok first of all what do u mean same bitrate. SCB is VBR the BR allways changes. 910k is just the average BR for file size pridictibility.
NOTE: when u encode make sure divx ;-) is ticked and not MPEG4-v2
NOTE: use motion based compresion
i dont realy know what u mean byI've got this problem that every encode that I do has the same bitrate

I've checked that DivX ;) is selected and it always comes up with the same AVERAGE bitrate. (910k) Anyone else encountered the same problem??

Its SBC aka Smart Bitrate Control and SBC is different from VBR ;)

SBC is a form of VBR known as ABR, average bitrate.

Why are we digging up these threads to change semantics?
