4 Episodes into 1 set of VOBS, how please help?

I successfully re encoded all the PGCs (5), 4 of which are eps and now need to know how to get them into 1 big set of vobs. Each ep has its own m2v and ac3, would like to include subs but not a must.

Everything else is ok I just dont know how to compile them so I end up with 5 pgcs. I have never used Scenarist so I hope that is not necessary. Am ok with maestro, spruce though. Heard it may have something to do with playlists, but after searching I cannot find any info on how to do those if that is the way.

I could make them into an ep per IFO but I want a full backup using the original menu etc. Any help would be great, thanks in advance.

That's an easy one.

Just put all your m2v one next to the other in a Maestro timeline. Use the syncaudio feature to join the ac3s. Define a chapter for the start of each pgc.

Open up playlists. I assume u know were they r.
Define 5 playlists that end up as the 5 pgcs.
In each playlist u will enter only the chapter that should go in this playlist. ie for the 1st one u will have only the 1st chapter that is the 1st episode. OK?

Build normaly. Then in the ifoupdate use the MAESTRO MODE and only this. U will end up with 5 pgcs.

I know where playlists are but not how to use them? Never needed them what do I do with the times in the playlist section? Do you also mean that I cannot have chapters in each pgc just at the start of each? sorry for all the questions :o

So place all m2v on timeline, then place all ac3 on audio timeine and use synch audio to join and line up with m2vs?

Create playlists (hopefully) and compile. Well it sounds easy but... hehe.

Ok, now that we both know were we r standing, lets go into details.

Consider this as an example.

U have 2 episodes. Each one has 3 chapters.

U put both m2v in the timeline and u join the audios
U define chapters, anyway u like

U open the playlists and create the 1st one
Drag and drop the 1 chapter of the 1st episode in the empty slot in playlist 1. U can see that automatically another empty one is generated. Now u can drop the 2nd and 3d chapter of the 1st episode in playlist 1 and u r done with it.

Do the same thing for the othewr two episodes.

U end up with 3 playlists, each one with 3 chapters. OK?

If u open the ifo in ifoedit u'll notice that Maestro puts an extra pgc, the 1st one, that contains all the video, as well as your 2 playlists. U can get rid of this 1st pgc that u dont need by using Maestro mode in ifoupdate.
