Heres a little question to the profs of ifoedit....I have a DVD with 14 vts' and some of these vts are extras ..now i wanna keep the menu and the movie so i wanna strip stuff... however the extras are split into many vts with one vob id...usually 1....so natuarlly i cannot strip it out ....or can i how can i make sure that its not included in the final burn however that the menu works ..so that if you would press enter on the menu for that particular extra that the dvd does not crash or stop ...that it simply loops in the menu again ... any ideas on how to deal with vts with one vob ids!!!

Thnx in advance for everyones help!!!

Greetzzz....

If you don't mind losing the extras, you can simply delete the .vob files off the other vts sets.

but doesnt deleting the other vts cause the DVD to crash if you press the button that would take you to that particular extra in the menu!!!

Yes, I don't just don't click on those extras. 2COOL has posted on how to disable those buttons for the extras in another thread too if you're interested.

Even better, there's a *wonderful* tool by Dimad, called MenuEdit, that allows you to delee buttons from menus. Now you delete the VTS's associated to your extras, and edit the buttons in the main menu referring to them. Pretty simple and nice...
BTW, just make sure you keep the IFOs and BUPs of the VTSs you're going to remove.

@Fmazzanti

I know you are aware of the button highlighting bug that MenuEdit has. It may or may not work for the menus that caprioles9000 has. The screwed up thing about it is that you only find out about if it worked or not is after you play your backup DVD in your standalone. I lost all my button highlights in my Road to Perdition's main menu. Unfortunately for me, I can't use DVD+RWs because my standalone doesn't accept it. Hopefully, Dimad understands what to do for the fix. I'd say you have been very lucky to not have experienced this.

If you don't know about what I'm talking about, read this sticky thread > Tool to edit DVD Menu Buttons (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&postid=286772#post286772). I reported the find but Vidhack started the real troubleshooting.

@2COOL,
yes, I know about the bug... although as you say I've been lucky 'cause it hasn't affected any of my copies yet (why not is something that escapes me, though). But I know Dimad is working on thi 'cause he sent me an e-mail saying that a new release should be comming *pretty soon*, so hopefully that's gonna be fixed right away... BTW, 2COOL, how's life going ;) ?
