View Full Version : Combine VOB ID's?

I use an authoring program that has the ability to directly import a set of VOB files complete with their original chapter points, which is pretty useful for films that don't need to be re-encoded.
Problem is, when it imports a VOB set, it splits the video by VOB ID and doesn't have the ability to splice the video back together.
So, my question is, would there be a way to rename the VOB ID's and their corrosponding cells? Just to be clear, here's an example:
Original VOBS:
V/C ID: 1/1
V/C ID: 1/2
V/C ID: 2/1
V/C ID: 2/2
I want to get:
V/C ID: 1/1
V/C ID: 1/2
V/C ID: 1/3
V/C ID: 1/4
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Here's your guide using VOBedit 0.60, available in in Doom9's download section.

I appreciate the link, but that is not what I was asking about doing. I already know how to combine clips with this method, but I'm talking about combining everything into 1 VOB ID inside a VOB set. Instead of having VOB ID 1, 2, 3.. etc., just having the entire movie in VOB ID 1.
Reason I want to do this is because the authoring program I'm using doesn't seem to handle full-length 16:9 movies all that well with it's preview function, but when loading the vobs directly the preview function works flawlessly. It would also save me the time of re-doing the chapter points since they get imported along with the vob set.
I'm not even sure if this procedure would be possible, but that's why I'm here asking.

Cool, this mangles the time codes on playback (unless Derrow has fixed this problem), because you have to invoke createifo afterwards.
