View Full Version : Nic's XviD 30-03-2003 Decoder problem

I have this problem with the newer version of Nic's Codec.

Version: 30-03-2003 Nic
DShow: The one included in the installer (Nic's one I think)
OS: WinXP, AthlonXP 2400+, 512Mb RAM, ZoomPlayer and BSPlayer installed (but I think it's not a Media Player problem)

Bug: The bug occurs with an Explorer crash every time I even select the video in the explorer window, before double clicking to open it. And it happens for now only on two old xvid videos. It seems a sort of "backward copatibility problem".
With the prevoius version (23-03-2003) of the codec I had no problems.
I can add that if I succeed in double clicking the file before explorer crashes, the video is played without problems, but anyway explorer crashes.

I hope i gave you all the informations you need.
Thanks, and excuse me for my bad english (I'm Italian).

Bye :)

I think that is a non-english-windows problem :)

I have spanish version and also explorer crash the same way... but this only happen if i have FFdshow "active" for xvid, if i let the nic's decoder all go ok... i have no clue if the problem come from nic's dshow or ffdshow
