I've been using spruce up to author my DVD's as its easy to use and supports dolby audio tracks. I recently authored some 16:9 camcorder footage (no black bars) and the movie plays as a 4:3 movie on my TV. It plays as 4:3 in win DVD as well unless I open the vobs individually at which time they play as 16:9. Would using IFO edit allow me to fix this or do I need to start using more advanced authoring software? (the help files report only 4:3 is supported by spruce up) I don't want to give up the pixels and encode the black bars into a 4:3 frame to keep my aspect ratio. I do have maestro but haven't played with it yet. It seems like overkill for the simple footage I'm working with but I will use it if necessary.
