:scared:
Recently I have been having trouble with my encodes (Or other peoples), no matter what they look crappy..I get artifacts on walls that wiggle around etc..when I play my encodes on another machine they look nice, artifact free (many different other machines), the way mine used to play them..
I have tried to reinstall divx 5.02, 5.03 and even the new betas and its the same thing =\, even tried video drivers because I remember updating them recently, it didnt help
now what is wierd is that I removed divx5.02 yet again, but this time I tried to load the file..and it plays! Im like wtf!? It still looks crappy, I think I have a codec conflict or something somewhere, but I don't recall installing anything that may have done that, I don't use Nimo or anything
When I goto properties on the video playing (Using Windows Media Classic) the filters I have are (after removing divx):
Default Direct Sound Device
Intervideo Audio Decoder
Video Renderer
That is all =\
Is there a way without formatting to possibly remove what seems to have silently taken over my divx playback? It seems very strange, been using Divx for AGES and never something like this, I don't know what has caused it
Any help would be excellent ^^
Thankyou!
I have some screenshots but I think an avi segment would be the trick, it should, probably look good on your machines
size is around 1mb, target area is the wall behind, there are worse scenes but it is the first one I found while looking for one to extract (sound was taken out, Im on dialup and anything to make it smaller helps!) :)

Remember, its not just this movie that does it =\
oh yeah, Xvid movies seem to play fine @_@
